Prediction of Runoff in Watersheds Located within Data-Scarce Regions

چکیده

The interest in the use of mathematical models for simulation hydrological processes has largely increased especially prediction runoff. It is subject extreme research among engineers and hydrologists. This study attempts to develop a simple conceptual model that reflects features arid environment where availability data scarce. simulates an hourly streamflow hydrograph peak flow rate any given storm. Hourly rainfall, potential evapotranspiration, record are significant input prerequisites this model. proposed applied two (2) different hydrologic routing techniques: time area curve method (wetted catchment) Muskingum (catchment main channel). was calibrated analyzed based on collected from catchment center Jordan. performance evaluated via goodness fit. fits both (a) observed simulated (b) rate. be used discharges’ during storm period. modeling approach described tested additional catchments with appropriate length order attain reliable parameters.
